International Silver Stick Recognition

Larry McGrath Scholarship

The International Silver Stick Association has been awarding memorial scholarships to deserving Canadian and American hockey players since 1972. Named after the son of a devoted Silver Stick worker and promoter, the first awards were two (2) $500 scholarships, and have grown to awarding a total of six (6 - 3 Canadian players and 3 American players) $2,000 scholarships for the 2017-18 season.

Participating Silver Stick hockey players interested in applying for the 2017 -18 Larry McGrath Scholarship will find information about Mr. McGrath, his family, and the application requirements in the application below. Application deadline is April 15, 2018 with awards being announced at the International Silver Stick Annual Meeting in June of 2018.

Hockey Hall of Fame

Since 1982, the original Silver Stick from the 1958 opening ceremonies has been displayed in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, ON. Along with this historical stick, the International Silver Stick Association is pleased to be able to honor each season's champions in the Hockey Hall of Fame display.

Following completion of all championships each season, a plaque listing the team name of the champion in each age and skill division is placed in the display case with the original Silver Stick.
