2018 Dayton Stealth Spring Hockey

By Dayton Hockey Association, 03/01/18, 12:15PM EST

It's Time for Spring Hockey!

Spring hockey is a combination of pond-hockey style scrimmage and skill building for the 8U and older age divisions. It provides an opportunity for kids in these age divisions to try some new things and experiment with their style of play in a less structured environment than regular season practices.

Learn to Play will consist of ADM style, structured ice sessions. The kids will participate in station-based, small area games and drills, as well as having some fun scrimmage time.

Kids are permitted to skate with their age appropriate division for the 2017-18 or the 2018-19 season. For example, a player that was in their second year of 10U play by birth year may register for the 12U division for spring hockey, so they can adjust to the differences in play between the age division they were in this season and the age division they will be in next season.

Spring Hockey Instructions & Information

Here are a few details you'll need to be fully prepared to participate:

  • ALL age divisions are NON-checking. No exceptions!
  • EVERYONE (all age divisions) should bring your own water bottle.
  • Players in the 8U - 18U/high school age divisions should bring both dark and light colored jerseys to each session.

Spring hockey is all about having fun, and learning a little along the way!
